JOHOR BAHRU - The 'green wave' of Perikatan Nasional (PN) in facing the upcoming by-elections for the Pulai parliamentary seat and the Simpang Jeram State Assembly seat will not occur and will be rejected by the people of Johor.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) Johor deputy chairman Aminolhuda Hassan stated that this wave would be difficult for the Johorians to embrace, as they prioritise simplicity.

"The people of Johor have a straightforward approach, and with this simplicity, I believe that Pas will find it difficult to establish a presence in this state.

"This simple mindset guides the people of Johor in determining the stability of the state," he said at a press conference after a meeting with the Umno Johor Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, at the Umno Johor headquarters here today.

Amirolhuda who is also the Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Johor Chairman, added that the cooperation between BN and PH in this by-election demonstrates the political stability within the Unity Government.

"The cooperation shown by this Unity Government coalition illustrates the importance of political simplicity for the sake of national stability.

"It is in line with the struggle for stability founded by Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and the PH leadership," he said.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Khaled stated that PN can no longer use the narrative from the past state polls where it was believed that the Federal Government could change if PN received the highest votes.
