PONTIAN - BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) must work hard to stop the Perikatan Nasional ‘green wave' before it becomes a threat in the Pulai parliamentary and Simpang Jeram state by-elections.

Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said Pas would also be in Johor and would continue to fight in order to get the support of the public for the by-elections.

He said Pas now had one state seat in Johor which was the Maharani state seat represented by Abdul Aziz Talib.

“Pas is now everywhere, including Johor, and they continued to put efforts in.

“We don’t want the same thing that happened in Johor to happen to Selangor. Pas had five seats, but now with PN they have 22 seats,” he said.

The Pontian MP said this during a programme with the public at the Pulai Sebatang state assembly held at the Pontian Umno Division office here on Saturday.

The Deputy Finance Minister I stated an explanation must be made by on the establishment of the unity government and why DAP was in the merger between BN and PH to deflect the green wave.

“BN and PH machinery must make an explanation of both matters as the unity government was established due to the orders of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for the sake of the nation’s stability.
