KUALA LUMPUR – Today marks another history for Rasuah Busters as it collaborates with an asset management and infrastructure services company, UEM Edgenta Bhd (UEM Edgenta), in its bid to combat corruption.

Rasuah Busters Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nurhayati Nordin said that the anti-corruption team welcomes all collaborations from all parties, either big or small.

“Corruption is an ongoing, joint-effort and there is a need for collaboration from all parties to combat the unhealthy culture, we do not want such habits to be present in corporate institutions such as UEM Edgenta.

“If we look at combating corruption in the corporate world, it is difficult to do as it involves giver, recipient and enabler, but Rasuah Busters believes that by implementing the people to the people, we can curb this together.

“Rasuah Busters, together with youths, media partners, and corporations from different sectors, welcome any kind of cooperation to complement the existing value act,” she said in her speech at the launch of Edgenta Integrity Day 2024 held in Bangsar here.

Through the theme of ‘Reinventing the future through good governance’, Nurhayati said it was necessary to foster good values through ritual based on the main principle, which was believing in God.

From there, she said that religious values would become a habit which in turn would create one’s character.

“Character will change culture and change the destiny,” she said.
