SHAH ALAM – A social media influencer who began by reviewing the condition of prayer rooms in shopping malls is now taking his efforts a step further by launching a mission to clean 30 prayer rooms in 30 days throughout Ramadan.

TikTok influencer Rusydi Sayuti Rosli, 39, said the initiative called "30 Days, 30 Prayer Rooms Mission," goes beyond promoting cleanliness—it also aims to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining places of worship.

"Previously, I only made review videos and cleaned prayer rooms on my own without recording or uploading them to social media.

"For this Ramadan, I decided to challenge myself to clean 30 prayer rooms in 30 days. I want others to feel motivated to do the same in their own communities," he told Sinar on Saturday.

A video showing a man cleaning a prayer room as part of the challenge recently went viral on TikTok, drawing widespread attention and praise.

Taking on the cleaning tasks alone, Rusydi’s dedication has been well received, with many believing young people should use social media as a platform to promote positive actions within the community.

Due to his work commitments as a manager at a private company on weekdays, Rusydi focuses on cleaning prayer rooms during weekends.

"My intention is clear – to benefit others. When I receive positive feedback and see others inspired to do the same, it feels like a great achievement for me.

"For now, I am carrying out this mission alone, but I welcome anyone who wants to join.

"I hope this initiative grows into a movement that makes a meaningful impact on the community, especially among Muslims," he said.
