GEORGETOWN – The #RasuahBusters convoy continues its anti-corruption campaign by visiting several locations in Penang since Thursday.

During the convoy, the first destination was the state’s Post Office located in Bukit Minyak industrial centre.

The arrival of the convoy, led by Rasuah Busters Chief Executive Officer Nurhayati Nordin was greeted by the Penang Post General Manager Ismahari Alwi.

In the meeting, Nurhayati shared the direction and role played by the Rasuah Busters' team in eliminating the culture of giving and accepting bribes in this country.

“Our team is creating a wave and efforts by the people to the people to fight corruption in the country which has become a pandemic, harming the people and country," she said.

Meanwhile, The Pos Malaysia Berhad Uniformed Staff Peninsular Malaysia Union president Ismail Ali said the approach made by Rasuah Busters was at the right time to create awareness on the impact of bribery and corruption on Malaysians.

He said the same role could be played by Pos staff in an effort to restore the image of the country by being an anti-corruption community.

"Rasuah Buster’s effort will restore the image of Malaysia in a more positive way and we hope we can raise awareness among the community to avoid bribes and eradicate them to the grassroots level," he said.

She said someone who reviews the food must be honest with the taste, whether it is delicious or not.

"If the food does not taste good, I will honestly say it's not delicious but if anyone wants to pay me to give a good review, meaning there is an element of bribe.

"That's why I don't do paid reviews. Not being arrogant, but I'm worried about giving a way for bribes,” she said, adding that corruption could be rejected politely.
