SHAH ALAM - Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi has urged former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to set a good example by asking his son-in-law, Muhammad Adlan Berhan, to return to Malaysia following his inclusion on Interpol's Red Notice.

The Interpol police have recently issued a Red Notice to Muhyiddin's son-in-law, Muhammad Adlan Berhan, and Mansoor Saat, who have been on the run since May.

"Why did Mansoor flee as well? What are they hiding? Puad Zarkashi said this in a post on his Facebook account on Monday.

Muhyiddin, he said, should set a good example if he wants to be Prime Minister again and as a leader, resonating with his party's slogan, 'PN BEST'.

"Does he still want to be Malaysia's prime minister now? Go and talk to your son-in-law, ask him to come back home. If he is not guilty, then he has nothing to be afraid of.

"Has any of the former prime minister's children ever fled the country before? Muhyiddin is obligated to make an open statement about his son-in-law. Do not tarnish the PN-BEST (caring, clean, and stable) motto," Puad said.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain has recently confirmed that a Red Notice was issued for Adlan and lawyer Mansoor Saat, individuals sought after by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

MACC is looking for Adlan and Mansoor to aid in the investigation into the case of suspected corruption and embezzlement in a project related to the registration, recruitment, and biometric storage of foreign workers in a ministry.
