KLANG - Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) is no longer perceived as a newcomer in the country as it has passed through two series of elections throughout its eight years of establishment.

Its vice-president Adly Zahari said that it was not easy for a political party to survive beyond three election cycles, unlike Semangat 46, which has been buried in the folds of history.

However, he said that it was not a significant issue to discuss.

“What's more crucial at the moment is the emphasis and focus on Amanah's fundamental principles.

"As long as Amanah adheres to these fundamental principles and political values, which are the core for the party's progression, then Amanah will remain a significant party in Malaysia," he said during the media session of the party’s Women Convention (AWAN) 2023 at the Wyndham Acmar Hotel here today.

Present at the event were National AWAN Chief Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu. Deputy Chief Convention Director Nor Hayati Bachok, Amanah Vice President Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud; National Leadership Committee member Datuk Dr Hasan Baharom and Amanah Youth Deputy Chief Danial Al-Rashid Haron Aminar Rashid.

Additionally, DAP Socialist Youth (Dapsy) Executive Committee Deputy Chief Young Syefura Othman and representatives from the Turkish, Australian, Singaporean, and Palestinian embassies, as well as representatives from all states, were also in attendance.
